I began studying for the series 65 by purchasing the ******(competitor’s) course. That was a mistake. Too many words and it just felt like it took 30 pages to get the point across. Well, I, unfortunately, did not pass my first series 65 exam: I felt it’s important to give you my background so it can help others in a similar situation in terms of your prep/time/etc. I am in my late 30’s, a mom of 3 fairly young children. I worked in an entirely different industry for 14 years and was given an opportunity to join a financial advising firm. I took the last 1.5 years off after having our 3rd child.
